Tri-Lakes Center for Independent Living (Saranac Lake, NY)
Tri-Lakes Center for Independent Living provides services and support to people with disabilities to help them live free and independent lives. It is also a valuable resource to its community on ADA compliance and accessibility issues. Tri-Lakes Center for Independent Living is a small nonprofit with a big mission. It relies on donor support and many volunteers to meet the needs of its community in a very rural part of New York State.
SHOESTRING was hired to provide a marketing plan that focused on low-cost options for engaging new donors and volunteers. The marketing plan capitalized on what was already working for the organization with the addition of new avenues such as an email newsletter, consistent proactive public relations and the use of social networking. As a result of SHOESTRING’s work, Tri-Lakes Center for Independent Living has been able to engage new donors and volunteers, revitalize previous relationships and provide low-cost avenues to build long-term relationships with donors and volunteers.
